Using QR Codes as Contact Details

Many presenters leave their contact details in their last slide as a means of continuing the conversation with the audience. But barrier for the audience is that it’s troublesome to type/write down the details from looking at the slide. Too many details, numbers and complex website addresses to note within a short time where the slide is flashed.

I’d recently started using QR codes into my slides for clients. It’s fairly simple to create using free QR code generators from sites like QRStuff. And it’s powerfully convenient for the audience – rather than having to type out a long URL, the audience simply need to scan the QR code to get to my client’s website, using any QR code scanning app in their smartphone.

If you wish to share your slides but wish to be more eco-friendly by not printing them out on paper, share a QR code which links the audience to an online copy of the slides on Slideshare or Reel.

Of course, you need to be sure your audience is part of a demographic who would be equipped with smartphones to do this. A little bit of easy-to-use tech that is greatly enhances the impression of professionalism at any presentation.

Try it and let me know if it works for you?
